"The Gunwitch is one of the most popular characters with fans of the Nocturnals which never ceases to amaze me - the Gunwitch never speaks, doesn't effect major change in the stories ( not really) and has almost no background story. On the other hand, that may be it right there - there aren't a lot of truly mysterious characters left - Batman's secrets are laid bare, and even Boba Fett's origin seems likely to come out in the next Star Wars film - I think there's a lot to be said for keeping the mystery alive, and preserve the integrity of the Unknown. After all, thats what we're really fascinated with: things uncovered, things hiding in the dark. its the major reason I'm still doing Nocturnals stories and hope to for some time." |
