"Doc is the leader of the Nocturnals, and
father to Eve ( aka Halloween Girl). I wanted to create a classic sort of haunted pulp
character in him, and he's totally taken off- as all the Nocs have, coming into their own
personalities despite my attempts to mold them. It almost feels as if they were there,
waiting for me to unleash them, rather than my creating them. I guess if you read enough,
comics, horror and crime novels and watch enough monster movies, that's bound to happen. I
