This site was brought to my attention and I was amazed at
the great work Mike Fisher does.
And he does it for the right reasons, because it comes from inside him. It's always
wonderful when a person gets to do something that they love and make a living at it, even
if it's not much of one. It's doing what you love that counts. Mike is realizing his
dreams and I'm pleased to let others see what he does. Checkout his website, write him and
let him know what you think. Here's how Mike
got started................
"It pretty much started with that first skateboard in the early 80's. I
quickly began making friends with other kids with skateboards. My friend Greg had a tape
by this band the Dead Kennedys and he kept bugging me to listen to it.. From the very
first note of that tape I knew I had found what
was missing for me. Here was a band that sounded like I felt. A few years later it was
Slayer and all I wanted to do was create artwork to go along with the sounds and ideas
coming from my speakers. That's all I have ever wanted to do with my artwork. I am
basically just a Punk and Metal fan and it is so cool for me to have a chance to work with
the bands that I like to listen to. The only other ambition I have had for my work is to
create at least one skateboard graphic. This year I created 2 board designs for 2
skateshops. I hope people look at my artwork and it helps them feel closer to the music .
I know it has always been that way for me."
