Rash by Charles Romalotti "Starnge, weird and very good!" Wraith, Editor - The House Of Pain "Four homeless kids, each armed with the shadows of their past, each determined to survive the city streets on their own terms. When one of them develops a psychosomatic skin condition, their world is capsized as the deterioration slowly begins to unfold this darkly suspenseful tale." Rash is a shows the great ability that Romalotti has to tie an incredible range of insights and the different varieties of life experience and life styles into an amazing storyline. Combining the elemtns of thriller, suspense and horror novels, Romalotti weaves a tale that reads like punk rock nightmares. The comlpexe interplay of the plot will have you suspecting what may cme next but never truely knowing. Romalotti will surprise you, just when you think you may know what will happen next, you do but you had no idea it was going down the way it actually does. The crossing of paths in this stpry works well, you'll wonder what the characters have to do with eac other but give it time, they all meld nicley in strange ways . This book can, at times, come off like a porn nightmare but this seems to be Romalottis way of showing us how vile humans can actually become. He relects the current society and human nature as it has evolved of the years, and not for the better. If you like SplatterPunk style writing, you'll enjoy this book! Last updated on 3-10-2005 |
